Stroll through the halls of the Honolulu Academy of Arts to browse the stunning art collection that is composed of both Western and Asian masterpieces, with some 37,000 pieces that represent the diversity of the culture. The Asian collection is regarded as one of the preeminent ones found in any American museum, with Chinese jade, Japanese bronze and Korean celadon bowls, as well as the James A. Michener Collection of 5,400 Japanese prints. While the Western side includes Greek, Roman, Egyptian and Cycladic works from ancient times. It also houses the Kress Collection of Italian Renaissance paintings and artists from Homer to Picasso. Take in the galleries, theater, library, gift shop, open-air courtyards and the Pavilion Cafe.
