Enjoy a Historic Band — Live!

When you hear this band, you'll become a part of history that's close to 170 years in the making. The Royal Hawaiian band was established by King Kamehameha III and is the only full-time municipal band in the country. These musicians play a mixture of traditional Hawaiian pieces, classical numbers, marching tunes, pop and jazz. They travel all over the world and are recognized as a vital part of the heritage of this great culture. Catch the free show every Friday at noon at the Ôlolani Palace bandstand and on Sunday at the Kapi'olani Park bandstand at 2 p.m.
